  3. Write a story (not to exceed 10,000 words), a poem (not to exceed 2000 lines), an essay (not to exceed 10,000 words) or a comic (black and white only please) addressing humanity’s relationship with nature.
  4. Format it in standard manuscript format (unless it’s a comic), save it as an RTF or Word DOC (JPEG if it’s a comic), and send it to me as an email attachment at lcrw33submissions@gmail.com.

  1. It’s only day one and already I’m ecstatic at the quality of LCRW 33 submissions. People DO think about this stuff! And write beautiful fiction about it that works! My faith in humanity is restored.

I’ve read submissions as a first reader before, both for LCRW and elsewhere. But boy what a difference it makes to have my finger on the button.

I have looked at 7 submissions so far. Of those, two are great and I want to buy them, two were unfit due to lack of attention to guidelines, three I was very sad to have to reject. Amazing. If that ratio keeps up, I am in trouble.
